In 2005 while studying psychology at the university in Galway, Ireland I chose to investigate the effectiveness of exercise as a treatment for Major Depressive Disorder. The bottom line clinically is it works…really well.
Inspired by the simplicity of the solution I qualified as a personal trainer to gain exposure in helping people move better to feel better. Fast forward over 12+ years and 14,000+hrs later and I’m still on the gym floor training clients because movement really is medicine.
I am dedicated to continuing my education and research in order to refine the best practice for consistency and accountability. I don’t claim to have all the answers but I do believe I have a competent grasp of the fundamentals required to assist those in need of help to get moving and gain confidence in their abilities.

I have had experience in coaching a range of individuals to achieve their personal health and fitness goals, ranging from weight loss to cardiovascular disease. I have also had experience training individuals with a variety of different health condition such as, diabetes, hypertension, asthma, obesity, arthritis, and stroke. I have also had experience in working to rehabilitate individuals after acute or chronic injury, particularly shoulder, back and knee injuries.
Lastly, I have had experience teaching Pilates classes, which is another mode of training that reduces the loading through the spine and other joints, whilst improving muscular strength, joint mobility and muscle elasticity. Pilates has allowed me to develop my skills in teaching people to effectively activate their abdominal, pelvic floor and gluteal muscle, following pregnancy, illness or injury.

LOVES Muay Thai, Squat/Deadlift/Bench Press. “Out of gym” fitness – hiking, stand up paddle boarding, rock climbing etc.
Five years ago I made the jump from a “safe job” to a passion by completing my Cert 3 and 4 in Fitness. Gym training and Muay Thai has been a major chapter in my life for the last 5 years and my life would look vastly different without it.
Over the last 5 years my training has stayed constant and I’ve not only seen the results I wanted for myself but have seen those results passed on to my clients.
Using Muay Thai for cardio, HIIT, functional strength and power lifting based movements in my programming – I believe it incorporates the best balance of hard work and fun to make training something you WANT to do not “have to do”.
The best feeling in the world is knowing you have put someone on a path that will lead them to a better life for themselves. Thats what gets me pumped in the morning.

From a young age sport has been drilled into me which I have grown from and transitioned into adult life. This has given me the passion and drive to base my career within the fitness industry.
My professional sporting career has taught me a lot about fitness, being an athlete and continues to do so. Being around and learning from the best of the best coaches, trainers, athletes and world class training facilities. I have learnt a lot along the way from my time with the Brisbane Broncos to my recent years with the Manly Sea Eagles. So, the experiences I have gone through with these elite clubs has equipped me the knowledge and tools to pass on to all my clients.
Athletic Development is my field to play in and developing aspiring athletes and improving semi pro to professional athletes is a big part of what I love to do.

I have been in the industry for 8 years now and have witnessed the high’s and low’s, and the exercise fads to go with it. But I remain as dedicated and passionate about the industry as i did 8 years ago.

I have a passion for holistic health and wellness being interested in the inter-relatedness and integration of alternative functional medicines, nutrition, movement, technology, the mind and spirit. I have a wide range of qualifications including: a Diploma in Exercise Science and Fitness Management, Certificate levels 3&4 in Fitness, Sports Nutritionist , ISSN-SNS Certified and Metabolic Health Coach and Genetic Wellness Coach. I am also a Reiki Master and have my level 1 in Raindrop Therapy.
Prior to commencing as a certified fitness professional I had extensive training in the Martial Arts both as a student and teacher focusing on: Ninjutsu, Freestyle Karate and Capoeira. I also have a passionate interest in Essential Oils & Sound Therapy and what i believe to be their place as the missing link in modern medicine. I am also the creator director of Universal Human Energy.

Having completed a 4 year degree at university, an exercise scientist has a thorough knowledge of the anatomy, biology, chemistry and physiology of exercise on the human body. Furthermore, a depth of understanding around how to train for elite sport and athletic development.
This is done by keeping up to date with the most current, evidence-based, scientific research on exercise is studies to produce the most efficient way to attain results safely and effectively.

I have been lucky enough to be in the fitness industry for over 16 years now. During this time I have seen many fads come and go but the core fitness essentials remain the same for results to occur. Consistency, intensity, specific programming, measuring results and performance, nutrition, mobility, recovery and fun all need to be adhered to to achieve overall health and wellbeing.
As a young man the dream of becoming an elite athlete and a professional footballer looked likely. Unfortunately when I was in the final year of high school I had a major knee injury which required a reconstruction and a major clean up. After extensive rehab I could not get it strong or stable enough for the riggers of Rugby League so I had to give it away, I was devastated, although this has turned out to be a blessing as it gave me an opportunity to do work experience with the Broncos which kick started my fitness career.

I first entered the fitness industry as a PT in 2013. I initially completed my Cert III & IV to gain self knowledge and along the way discovered my love of sharing my fitness knowledge. I also discovered I had the ability to motivate and inspire people and have loved being a part of every client’s fitness lifestyle and journey.
I am passionate and committed to getting the best results for my clients whether their goal be fat loss, strength and conditioning, training for particular events or generally wanting to feel amazing everyday!
